This issue's main feature looks at tartan, from its humble beginnings to its undeniable popularity today the world over, and how to select the best tartan for you according to your family name - or even personal preferences.
Our guest article has been provided by Ramblers Scotland and gives a guide to the range of walking opportunities in Scotland, from a short stroll in the Lothian countryside to a hike up a Munro in the Highlands.
