The guest article this month has been written by Lisa Fuchs of Snowsport Scotland.
The organisation is the national governing body for all snowsports that take place on snow and artificial slopes in Scotland, including snowboarding, alpine, freestyle and nordic skiing.

Scotland's events calendar gets off to a lively start in January 2007 with Celtic Connections. Taking place in 12 venues in Glasgow and now in its 14th year, it features artists from around the globe alongside the very best Scottish talent, from January 17th to February 7th.
Kirkaldy in Fife will be the scene for Anne Frank + You from January 8th to 28th 2007 which will include an exhibition of photographs by Anne's father, a powerful multimedia exhibition that promises to update Anne's voice for the 21st century, drama by Dundee Rep and culminates with the Dignity of Diversity candlelit procession, the main Scottish event to mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day on January 28th.
